Domon Kasshu Cosplay

It's me as Domon Kasshu from the hit show, "Mobile Fighter G Gundam". I wore this at this year's Otakon 2009. The fans loved it, got many pictures. This particular one was taken of me from a friend. The entire costume is made, non of it is bought, except the original wig. I bought most of the costume in the good will store actually. Starting from the bottom, the shoes were my old Catholic HS shoes i used to have to wear, the black dress pants were some dress pants i found in the thrift store, as well as the dark green under armor. The Khaki coat i also found in the thrift store, but it was modified to look more like Domon's with the addition of certain parts. The ridiculously big collar is actually cut away from the sleeves and cardboard was used to keep it up. The cape is actually A bed sheet also from the same thrift store. I didn't use literal colored red sheet, because that wouldn't have looked real enough. the head band is cut from the same as the cape. The gloves were 1$ each at Kmart, so i went through a few of them till they looked correct. The king of hearts symbol on my hand is actually a made rub on tattoo i printed off the computer. The tatoo part didn't really work, so i wore it like a sticker. The wig i ordered online, I woke up at 2am the night before i wore this at the con, went and got elmers glue at the Cvs, and worked on the wig till 4am. It turned out well. The sword was a foam bokken, that i removed the foam off of. I used i roll of white electrical tape for the white hilt rap. I spray painted the sword to look old and rusty. The sheath of the sword is a card board tube, that i used and painted Basil green. The costume turned out very well, and I was stopped many times for pictures. People were blown away by it, and I was told i have the best portraying of Domon they've ever seen.I'm just happy G Gundam is portrayed and venerated so well! I am satisfied.
